There aren't many things I miss about MMF1.5, but I do miss the option to run the current frame within the frame editor because then you could see what was happening just outside of the playfield. Does MMF2 have this option and I've just not seen it?

Don't think so. I never used it though, playing in the frame editor was always incredibly slow for me.

Oh, no I've always wondered that too. I don't think it has it,and if it does I'll be surprised that it's such hidden feature >_<'
Also I miss the different shaped-selection tools the picture editor had in MMF1.5

I personally never really used the play in frame thing, particularly because it caused many problems when the game got more complex and relied on variables from other frames such as the title screen. Another reason was because, things such as the HUD which were told not to fallow the frame, never actually showed up unless I scrolled up to them.
A reason I miss it though? Well because it was very useful for testing pre-mature engines or the ability to scroll around your levels to see what stuff was doing outside of your eyesight, and games with full screen take a good couple of seconds to switch, so play in frame, sort of got around that hassle.
In the end, I don't think it's something worth bringing back if it's going to take time and effort that will distract from higher priorities features, but if it's as simple as re-enabling old disabled code or whatever, then I think it should be back in, since it did in fact have some use, even if it was very minor.
