So I'm trying to make a fighting game in MMF2, and I want to use sub-apps to display the actual battle as a sub-app behind the HUD, and both frames are in the same application, but when I try and make it appear in the frame, I can't see it. It works just fine if the battle is in another application, but I want it to be in the same application.

Basically, I can't get sub-apps to view frames from the same application.

Can anyone please tell me how to do this?

Why are you actually using a sub application?

I don't want to have to replicate the HUD on every single stage, or make every stage recreate the HUD.

I decided not to make a new Thread to something that hasn't been answered yet. But I am having the same problem. I have an inventory screen that should come up. I am using a sub application on my game frame that links to another frame. But the sub application is not coming up at all.

Nevermind.... It was because I was running the single frame and not the whole Application.

Subapplications never work when you select Run Frame from MMF2. You have to select Run Application. Don't ask why.

right click on the sub app, go to properties. Click on the first button, where it says "type: different application" or whatever, and it will give you two choices, load from a separate app or load a frame from the same app. Then change the frame # while still in properties, this will be the initial level it loads

Well now I know the answer to my question.

However it really should run it in Run Frame in my opinion.

Sounds too intuitive.
