Observe the mouthwatery appleyness. The subtle sugarly sprinkling on its crown like the snow of a sunny winter's day. The little apple motif, and the smooth delicate pastry. A god amongst pies.

This thread has been created for the sole purpose of discussing the wonderfulness of these pies.

So discuss. Are they available in the U.S.? Or just here in England? Why does the packaging call it a pie, yet Mr Kipling himself calls it a cake? When was your earliest memory of savouring the Mr Kipling bramley apple pie goodness?

Mr Kipling Bramley Apple Pie, you truly are an exceedingly good cake. We salute you!

An apple pie can be rather delicious every so often, especially if it's a Dr. Kipling.

No. The apple pies are not my cup of tea. However, the Bakewell slices and lemon slices are exceedingly good. .

Oops, this was an old thread but oh well...

Nothing like that available in Scandinavia

The Brits seem to have lots of stuff that would be good to get by ordering it through some ex-pat online store. Lucozade Lemon, the kind of chips you can get from your local chippy, Walker's crisps (Salt & Vinegar flavour)... But kids, remember to stay away from the Heinz Ketchup or Prawn Walker's!

Check this, I was just watching TV Burp eating some Kipling Apple Pies - I come on here, and there's a thread about them! There are indeed good. Exceedingly so.

A wonderful compliment to any lunch, as a snack or a dessert course served in custard. God bless Mr. Kipling.
