This probably doesn't belong on the Daily Click, but this is the only "community" I belong to.
My family adopted a small puppy recently, we named him Cookie. He was born without eyes, and had spent the first 3 months of his life in the back of a kennel. He got to spend one week running in the grass, laying in the sun, and being loved almost 24/7 before he died yesterday of a disease he'd contracted from the kennel.
Btw, how did he manage without sight? I know dogs and cats are pretty amazing at coping with the loss of sight, and legs etc, they just seem to deal with it.
Sorry to hear that. It's crazy how dogs get pulled deep into the family. Maybe because you have to walk them that some kind of bond is made. Anyways it's never good when they die
My doggies very old now. About 14-15ish. Other than a brain tumor (held back by £3 a day pills ) and heart and kidney problems she's a bit tip top. Like she'll run about and be all young. But her ruddy breath stinks.
I am sorry to hear about Cookie that is rather sad. Oh and Mr Bean, I am sorry to hear about the death of your friend as well. I recently had pneumonia myself and it is a horrible illness.
When I was a little kid looking for a pet, we got the defective mouse from a tank at the pet store. It had a tail more like a hamster, and we called it Stubby.
Stubby was very brilliant, for a mouse, and one day figured out how to unlock the screen top's rotating lock handles from the inside and get out of her cage. Stubby was then mauled by Tiger, my cat.
But anyways, for a little while Stubby got to live in a nice clean cage, with her very own food and water. Everybody passed on her because she didn't look like what a "real" mouse should look like. I'm glad you saved that poor dog Shroomlock, I'm sure a lot of other dogs out there aren't as lucky as Cookie was.
