i meant INvisible on the topic's name lol

how can i make for example black blocks disappear when my character sees them, but if there is an object on the way, the black blocks remain behind it?

360 degree raycasting would work.

cast a ray (an object) in each direction until it hits a wall or object. if it hits your "black boxes" along the way then turn them invisible.

dunno if this is practical in mmf.

Only thing I don't like about that idea, is that it looks to much like a flashlight in a poorly made looking night. If you do do something like that, make it something other then a darkened color. Like maybe objects outside of field of view, turn a pixel shader on, that makes them blurry, and people outside of view, don't show up... but when they walk, they might start to show up a little bit, or make ripples to signal that you hear them. I don't know, but the flash light effect is lame.

actually the topic's name is correct loool im too tired.

anyways i thought it would be better if the dark space does not return when the character is not in the revealed area
meaning that i "learn" how the map looks like

how do i turn pixel shared on...? :S

same method, just dont have an event, that makes the revert back to visible or invisible, whichever one it IS that you wanted.
