So, before everyone started klicking, something had to have inspired them to start. Mabey a favorite video game at the time, or someones big brother was making them. What was YOUR inspiration to start creating your own klick games?
Mine was because my big brother Matt and Mike, had their own "Company" and they created games i used to always play. So once I got old enough to learn what i was doing, I started klicking, and about 4 years later, here I am
But sadley, my brothers no longer klick, and it is up to me to make them proud by creating at least one game that is actually good.
After all that is the reason i started in the first place.
I was just curious about your inspiration that made you start klicking, and why you still do it to this day. Im sure some of you have some awsome stories.

i played a crappy game on a "100 free games" cd that i got for free an it had a klik n play splash screen at the end
so i looked into it and got a copy of klik n play for schools and then found this site.
One of my friends showed me KnP for schools and then got TGF. I got TGF after that and then MMF2 about 1.5 years ago. Now I've got MMF2Dev thanks to Jeff finally sorting out my prize from the Xmas Comp lol.
Just always wanted to make games. Before I had any proper computer I used to draw out NES and GB games (measured a GB screen and would just draw screenshots!). Was a bit silly really. We had a few game making things on the Amiga like AMOS and the Shoot-em-up Construction Kit. All fell into place with KnP.
My inspiration was inspiration I was always good at making up stories and what not but all my attempts at creative writing fizzled out after I got bored. With games there is always a result to keep me interesting in finishing it.
In primary school I used to just sit around in class and design game manuals for games that didn't exist. Sounds lame, but hey, got me into the indie gaming scene eventually. One of my mates wanted to buy a computer game for his brother, we found a copy of Klik 'n' Play on the shelf at the local games shop, and I've never looked back.
I have always wanted to make my own games, when i was a kid i used to make stage designs, character designs, storys, ideas for games and i soon made a few hundred pages full of ideas and stuff! Thats all i thought about, it was my ultimate dream and GOAL! i thought it would never happen, so one day, years after of dreaming bout it, i downloaded and played this south park mario clone game that was created by the clickteam staff using the TGF, i saw the website were you get the products from and i have been going from there.
i have many ideas and i plan on becoming a pro game creator, that attack of the hobos idea was aload of BULLSHIT! i plan on learning c++, i plan on working on big 3D games that are being made by nintendo, konami, rockstar games! well maybe iam going a wee bit over the top! but i have some games in progress even as i write this crap, so stay tuned!
I wanted to make the most action-packed, blood-soaked, one-liner filled gayum ever. I was inspired by Duke Nukem 3D and Blood and Schwarzenegger films. I downloaded Klik and Play for Schools and used it at home. :0
Discarded pizza boxes are an indispensable source of cheese.
I loved the SNES Super Mario games. I always wished I could make my own levels for Mario 3/World but thought it would never happen. When I first got Internet access I stumbled upon a website entitled Mario Fan Games Galaxy. It had ready made TGF libraries choc full of Mario sprites. I had no idea what they were for at the time but eventually found out about TGF and started making some very bad Mario games. They had an Ice power up!
I used to do all sort of drawings on paper and sometimes made entire Dizzy games flat out on our kitchen table using Play doh. I also used to fill entire sketch books with hand drawn fake screen shots and even made up my own consoles and mascots to compete with Sonic and Mario.
then a few years before i got my first PC i discovered that i owned a Text adventure making program on my Amstrad cpc, the first thing i did was try to somehow port Final fantasy 7 over. Then i tried to get a doom game working on it.
Eventually we got a pc and i shortly discovered The games factory, so i could finally make game the way i always wanted too ^^
Did anyone ever try to make board or card games, either? I know I tried my own imitation Pokémon card game, once And a few times tried to start a scaled-down Warhammer type game. Of course, I was always too shy to get anyone to try them out! I designed a horror-based board game a few months back, however, and I'd like to try and create it at some point.
haha me and my friends made a card/board game.
you use paper footballs (the monsters) and to attack you flick it at another monster.
its really wierd and i cant even explain it
But one day i want to make a klick games about it, with a story and everything.
