Here are some medieval sprites for a kind of simple fire emblem / lords of the realm hybrid (which i'll probably never get around to making).

The sprite at the top is a library graphic. The other soldiers are derived from it.

I know it's not obvious, so...

boiling oil guy, archer, peasant, swordsman, pikeman, cavalry, catapult, battering ram

I'm contemplating making it greyscale like a gameboy game, hence the bottom two armies.

Ah! The first thing I thought of when I saw those sprites was "GameBoy!"
