Hey, do you guys know if theres any application out there that lets you create world maps? or maps for that matter? Im looking for something Lord Of the Rings-ish. If something can generate maps like that, it would save me a lot of time and effort.
There's no real easy way to do this. For my game so I know everything matches up right I've got a giant 30k*30k photoshop doc and an overuse of the printscreen key.
Do you mean like a random map generator? Like... Age of Empires? Or Civilisation? Sim City even? :] Make one in those, trace them/modify them to your liking, and add some funky place names!
No, not random. something that lets you create lord of the rings like maps. you know, old parchment and black ink. that would be pretty cool. but i guess, there isnt anything out there yet.
