The buildings are for a kind of M.U.L.E. clone in a medieval setting. Not the same game as the medieval soldier sprites were for, which is pretty much abandoned already.
OldManClayton: Steal away, but bear in mind that I may eventually use them too (though I seriously doubt it as I've been clicking since the days of KnP and have yet to finish a game, and this one is pretty ambitious). Any other buildings / scenery required? (I don't do animated characters).
Sweet! Ever seen "fiddler on the roof"? I want to make an isometric game where you sneak around and surprise people with a slap on the back and a loud, "Mazal Tov!!" I'll be doing it in places like weddings, (Mazal Tov is congratulations, roughly translated) Birthday parties, anniversaries, BMV after a drving test is taken... Any place that it would make sense to have someone saying, "congratulations!!" I would give Mondo-doodely credit and gratefulness!
EDIT: Although, now that I think about it... the people would be really teeny tiny... hmmm...
Wow, I would love to have building construction animations like that in a game. Heck, I like playing some games just to see the buildings get constructed (and destroyed )
Disclaimer: Any sarcasm in my posts will not be mentioned as that would ruin the purpose. It is assumed that the reader is intelligent enough to tell the difference between what is sarcasm and what is not.
I use paintshop pro 8 personally. It has a shadow effect, but that only creates a 2d kind of shadow (as if the buildings are just flat pictures that someones cut out). I don't think there's a shortcut to making realistic shadows. Anyways, I've temporarily moved on to another project (I always seem to have about 10 on the go).
