Hi all, just started with MMF2 ( first time game making ) and have a quick question.
I started on my game and have been using some custom movements and scrolling, so far this works well.
I now want to design my game interface, this should stay at the bottom of the screen and have items like lives, keys, ammo etc there.
How would I get the interface to stay at the bottom and in the middle of the screen? when the hero moves and the game scrolls, i am losing my interface, it doesnt scroll with the rest of the screen just stays where I first set it.
( I need my interface to be like the score / lifes objects always on top and in view, and always scrolls. )
I know its most likey an easy thing, just cant seem to get it to work.
In the object properties, under the 'runtime' tab, there should be a tickbox next to 'follow the frame', uncheck it to have it stay with the screen as it scrolls.
Ahh... Them good ol' days... Back when I had no clue what an alterable value was for and the little 16x16 icon was always the "GF" icon... *sigh* I miss them...
I don't, they were bloody frustrating! I do, however, miss pumping out all those half-baked ideas just because I felt like trying things out. I can't start anything without rigorously planning it now!
Where are my manners? Welcome, indeed, Kersha! Everyone seems to think kliking is dying, so it's good to see... er, hear a new face! I think these days are more frustrating because your ideas get WAY more complex and require more thinking, which you can't do as much of after trying to think so hard. It's like a never-ending circle... Except maybe it does end when you die... or lose your mind. I think I may have just scared kersha off...
