I'm getting to the point in my game where a big purple block doesn't suffice for the player character enemies could use some art. If anyone is interested, here are the two key skills you'll have to be able to bring:
- Working small. The target size is 16x32, but it could go up to as high as 24x40.
- Using few colours. My game is only using a 48 colour palette, but the sprite can't use more than 6 (4+B/W).

The player character is a humanoid. Being proportionate would be nice.

Animations should only be 2-3 frames in length. There are at least 9 animations required; 3 movement states, 3 attacking states. There should be a difference between left/right directions, too. There might be an unforeseen need for more animations later.

It all sounds simple, right? Either post here or send me a DC Mail saying you're interested in helping, and then I'll reply back with character details. I would be willing to post the details here if there is a significant turn-out of people interested.

Edit: I found a brilliant, lazy way to get out of needing someone to make my main character for me. I'm leaving the post up in case someone wants to sprite some enemies. There'll come a time when they can't be green blocks anymore.

Instead of going with the familiar shape of a humanoid, which would have been too hard to design myself, I went with something far more simple. It's a circle, it floats. It's a floating circle.

You sound a bit like you're looking for a quickie to do some small stuff then get out of your face..Is it really that hard to get a spriter today?

Wish I could help you but my creative side is on the alignment of music.

Nice haha, looks good. you could also try out flash or any imaging software with layers in it. Simply make a standing pose with each limb in a different layer and then rotate them to make animations.
