I sent this to Nintendo Power, but they probably won't answer...
I thought about it, and what prevents Nintendo from making a DS card called the Game Boy Player 2, and you load it up in the DS, and it connects to a channel on the Wii that you download by use of a code that you get from buying the player. Then once you load up both applications, the DS streams the Game Boy Advance media to the Wii. Or a DS Player, why can't it just be an adapter that you plug into the back of the system by USB or in a Gamecube port, and you use the DS as a controlling by downloading a controller app to the DS. Both screens could appear on the TV screen. It shouldn't be too hard to touch without looking where you're touching so long as you can see what happens as a result, just like moving a computer mouse. Is that even possible?
Well, anything? Did I just waste my time? Someone here ought to know something about this...
Given that the GBA is now age old tech I can't imagine this working.
Would be nice to be able to stream DS to TV without the need of the dev TV output cable.
I sent a letter full of ideas to Nintendo just for kicks once. This will never happen, but I agree that it is a good idea. If you want to play GBA games on the wii, there was a GBA to GC memory card adaptor from Datel awhile back. Bothering to stream the data from a DS would be a needless pain-- it would be easier for them to just offer them for download.
There are tools that let you see DS screens on a TV, but they are reserved for the press.
Afterburner, with added trapezium effect.
Also the speakers on the regular GBA were trash. The best sound is from the SP, and if you have the backlit SP then it also has the best screen. But I don't
GBA on DS Lite>SP (for usability)>Micro>GBA on DS fat>GBA
