i am thinking of getting a notebook with a 120 GB hard disk drive, 3GB of ram, it has a dual layer dvd burner and OS is vista, will i be able to set up and use TGF2 for those long trips in a diffrent dimension.

 
some one blows there nose and YOU want to keep it!

Before you get the 3 GB of RAM, make sure it has a proper graphics card. That makes a huge amount of difference, especially later with MMF2 HWA and Vista already utilizing HWA

get a macbook and hes fine. otherwise spring for an asus or a sony.

Of course you can. Though not advisable, I was able to set up TGF2 on an old 133Mhz 32MB RAM No optical drive 3GB HDD Win98 laptop for drawing. Easy-peasy lemon squeezy.
