i've seen a few games in the GOTW use a curving shooting style gor things like rockets and such and i was wanting to know how i would go about doing that and useing it to make grenades

I sorta experimented around with that and the simplest and fastest way is to use the pinball movement.

Well you get your grenade or whatever, and give it the pinball movement. And then make a code that says "When the user presses the grenade button, shoot a grenade from his grenade launcher"

I just happened to make a grenade mfa last night. 
Press "Z" to randomly place the grenade. It doesn't explode tho. And they don't rotate either.

Also, if you need a tutorial on how to do these kind of things, here's one I made a short while ago.

The tutorial is about a bouncing ball effect, but given the fact the grenades use the same movement as the ball, it works with grenades just as well.
