Hi!

I want to create simple 3D Models for Starships for my game.

I tried 3d studio max, but didnt even manage to create a simple cube.

I need something just for shaping out simple forms, no textures needed.
Something like the fighter in the old Star Fox game from the snes, if anybody remembers

It should be very easy to use and freeware would be nice!

thx alot

Blender does take a while to get used to, but is IS good and powerful.
Especially for a free 3D modeling program.

Yeah, tho I've never even got the hang of it, IMO it's pretty good as far as 3D modeling goes.

Try Wings3d. Its free and really simple to use. Anyone could make a 3d model with that thing. I'd definitely recommend it to people new to 3D. It only supports free polygon modelling though.

get OBJ Mapper as well. Makes making texture maps a whole lot easier. Very useful.

MilkShape3D - It's much easier to use than any other 3D modeler I've seen, but it does cost £20. There's a 30-day demo you could try (might be long enough for you to make all the graphics you need?).
