Hello, I am looking for a team to help me with a project I've recently started work on - a 2D Katamari Damacy. Of course the name would be changed to avoid copyright infringement (and the prince would also be absent) but the same general concept would apply.
I am looking for artists, programmers, and anyone who can assist with sound and music.
The hardest part of the game, of course, will be creating an engine for rolling the katamari that will pick up objects and stick them into the katamari. the second hardest part will be creating all the objects and the information that corresponds to them, (such as how large you have to be to roll it up, the sound that it makes, etc.)
it will be taking on the 8-bit(ish) style that the above video does.
Any ideas are very welcome! Give me your ideas for extra modes, gameplay adjustments, anything!
TO JOIN THE STAFF, PLEASE REPLY TO THIS TOPIC, TELL ME WHAT YOU'D LIKE TO HELP WITH, AND AIM ME.

Honestly, you might be better off to use Construct for such a game. TGF 1and2 and MMF 1and2 have limits as to how many actives can be used.
And that Katamari thing looks like it's going to need ALOT of active objects. If it were me, I wouldn't attempt this in MMF2 and definitely not in TGF. TGF is even more limited in actives available than MMF.
MMF2 works great for most things, but I'm not so sure about something like this .. you'd have to use some awefully tricky coding to get around the limitations.
Either that or make the level fairly short, or keep a serious count of how many active spots are used up (I say active spots because some objects take more than 1 spot) (at least in TGF1) ..
