Does your mouse have a scroll wheel? Sometimes when Windows bugs like that you can cancel it by clicking the scroll wheel in.

I know exactly why this happens, it is when your space bar gets stuck, whether physically or if the software bugs out and holds space. I've been able to fix it by mashing on a space bar.

its not a bug exclusive to mmf and it has nothing to do specifically with the space button. its a windows bug and happens to me all the time and i just try and hit keys and click different mouse buttons till it fixes or log off and back on. it doesnt seem to have a specific cause or specific fix. its just windows being windows.

O_o The only time I've ever had trouble with it selecting text on me is when I accidentally have that infernally un-useful stickykeys on. Who invented that, anyway? What's wrong with hitting the caps lock button?

Gosh I hate sticky keys

especially when I'm playing a game where shift is the shoot button. They need to think of a less likely key combination for sticky keys. Then again, you can just turn of the keyboard shortcuts via control panel.

Funny thing, I just had to turn it off on my sister's new laptop. I don't understand how pressing shift 5 times is more convenient than hitting caps lock. O_o

I heard it was easier to get rid of sticky keys by wiping the lemonade off your keyboard with a damp sponge.
