I have had my glasses stepped on many times by people who yell at me for leaving them on the floor NEXT TO MY HEAD, and then when I step on theirs I get yelled at again for stepping the glasses they left on the floor. Haha, I remember one time I bent my glasses up and had to tape the lenses in. X)
Anyway, contacts reign supreme, so you can use them until a fix is available. Take them to Lenscrafters, they adjust for free.
I was cleaning my room once and set my glasses down on a desk. I was trying to move things around a bit and then had the great idea to move the tv onto the desk.... *crunch!*
Mine got stolen by some guy in a youth hostel (or I just lost them) I suppose having people step on them would be worse, because it feels like something that could be avoided.
