i think it might've been this advanced math object, i thought i needed it for something, but i didnt, and just before this started happening i deleted it, and the object deleted, but the object is still there on the side window thing and wont go away.

if i re-make all the little items that went bad, will that be a waste of time or should i start the project in a differnt thing or what?

geez I hear about this happening to people a lot, how come it never happens to me?

anyway if you have backup copies of your project just revert to an older version of the .mfa file
I have autobackup set to keep 10 extra copies for these types of problems.

unfortuantly i haven't been backing them up. ive already fixed most of it, but i just want to be sure its not going to corrupt my file for good. ive got a new flash drive so i can keep updates once or twice a day on it.

God knows what triggers this, it's only ever happened to me on smaller projects. But this kind of thing is why I keep a kajillions of backups please say you did too!

nope, but i managed to fix it and i started backing it up on a flash drive. thank god that i always back up my images at least, and all the code was still in there, so all i had to do was put the images back in and shift the code over, and lucky that the only animated image were the doors.

yeah that keeps happening to me all the time.
To me it usually happens when, for no reason at all, MMF2 deletes some object and then replaces it with a bad object. My suggestion would be to create the missing object again and then replace the bad object with it (in the events editor)

Bad objects are created when an event can't find the object it's associated to; like if you move an object to another frame without adjusting the events first.

As for deleting objects by itself... never happened to me, but there must be a reason.

Also, it might be random but I still ask: Does enyone knows what the "B" on the global objects icons stands for?

The 'B' on the event editor means that that object has behaviors, I think.

So I thought that MMF2 automatically deleted events related to no-longer existent objects?

You're right. But it doesn't seem to erase events when you just move the object to another frame. From my experience, bad objects sometime replaces the originals. I could be wrong, but it never happened to me again since I do the changes before moving objects away.

And thanks for the "B" answer.

You can never work it to hard... you just gotta tell mmf that if it doesn't cooperate you are just gonna leave it for something else THEN it will get all your stuff done...

but seriously I have this problem allll the time... I hate it

MMF goes crazy on me all the time. That's why I keep at least 3 autobackups.

At least it's not like when KNP went crazy. I lost a whole month of game on KNP, because the file went corrupt

I never delete an object if it tells me there are still events for it. It's a force of habit for me. I'm way too afraid of junk code being left behind if I delete while it still has events.
