Who's got/played this? I bought it yesterday, being reasonably priced for a DS game, and I must say it's really grown on me. At first I thought the expected "This is a cheap Animal Crossing clone" but I'm quickly starting to believe it's better.
The place isn't randomly generated (I think), but some of the locations are pretty and atmospheric, and somewhat more imaginative than AC-there's a really nice forest area.The shopping avenue also seems bigger than the "city" in AC: City folk. The areas also use both screens on the DS, so unlike Animal crossing the trees are taller and it feels more "foresty"
The characters also have wayyy better AI than in AC. They hang around with you and do... stuff ... follow you, fish with you, sit on a bench next to you and talk etc, and go on dates and become their boyfriend/girlfriend. They're also slightly more interesting design-wise (although I dont think there are as many as AC)
But yes, basically for anyone who likes AC I'd really recommend this, it seems to have slightly more so far. Im still waiting to buy a broom stick so I can fly around on it !!!!
I like the concept of it I guess, but really I'm not into "Folk" with televisions for heads nor anthropomorhic cellphones >< Plus it's WAY too "cutsy-poo", if you will, for my taste. Animal Crossing isn't much of an exception either >< If anything I'd prefer more serious designs.
I suppose the only thing that caught my eye was character 11, hence my user name. -_-
Oh, crap. Now that I've seen the wolf dude I'm gonna be searching for him. >< (Serioslioes, I don't even know why I'm obsessed with them. It just happened one day. -_-)
Anyways I guess I was in a bad mood- I've mildly changed my mind about it. It's OK I guess. I youtube'd it- the music drove me nuts.
