Okay, so I was working on a new game which involves magic, so I created a character (drew with my new tablet =D) in photoshop,


and this is what came to mind:

Then I try to pixelate the character in MMF for the game =D, this is the result:

Here's the engine I've made so far (I know it's blob but its just for test):

When you have charged the attack full up and strafe to left/right you keep that state and can fire an instant full blast.

What do you think of the drawings? Any good?
The engine?
Suggestions for attacks/enemies?

Please help me with a name for the character in case you have a nice japanese/chinese kinda name for her =D

Ok, yea I just got the engine thing to work. It reminds me a lot of the thing in Super Smash Brothers melee where Mewtwo can charge his thing. Same with the strafing how you have to move quick to the side to hold the charge. Good stuff.

I suppose you're still tweaking the engine, but I'll mention two issues I noticed anyway:
1) You can charge the energy ball and then strafe, and then next time you charge it's already in the size you stopped charging it in.
2) If you rapidly press Ctrl to shoot many little energy balls, some of them go pretty crazy (drastically change their direction up or down like there's a magnet pulling them).

The first "bug" is intented, it only resets if an enemy hits you (there are no enemys atm)

And the second bug I just dont know how to fix :/ but im trying as hard as I can

Update:
Fixed the second bug!!! And made new animation for the character, will update the vitalize
