I've got the display mode on Direct3D 9 which is exactly what I need for my effects such as additive blending, but it really screws up my sprite's colors, such as a lighter shade of yellow becomes a moderately darker shade, or when I use Paintshop pro to edit my sprites like the lightness up/down tool it won't show every color and it just looks like a henious mess.

Any fix? Thanks in advance.

It's likely the ink effect you're using. Arguably one of the most useful ones is the ADD effect. It works best on dark backgrounds and makes colors more transparent the closer to black they are. Which ink effect are you using?

That's not the thing though. For my sprites I have them set on none, but concerning I have the display mode on Direct3D 9 (Or 8 ) it messes up the colors. However, when I have it set to something other than Direct3D the colors work fine, but the effects are screwed up.

That's really... weird. I think you may have to show someone either here or at Clickteam since you can't explain it any more.

My guess is you're using ADD with bright colors. After the colors get to a certain brightness, they turn white.

Nevermind, I had to improvise abit. Didn't really change much, but sure enough it doesn't look as decent as the previous version. But hey, I can cope with that. Thanks for the advice anyway!
