I was wondering who here is from Canada? I'm in Alberta myself. Moved from holland about 6 years ago now.
Anyone has anything planned for the Canada-Day this wednesday? I took thursday and friday off to have a super long weekend, going up to a cabin and have some fun with the family there

I live in Quebec
But we don't really celebrate Canada-Day here, we just had "la Saint-Jean Baptiste" last week. It's still a day off though.

There's a Canada Day? Cool, what's it in celebration of? Or is it just "Yay! Canada in general".

Celebrating the anniversary which united Canada as a single country of four provinces. Also reffered to as Canada's birthday!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CANADA

Fair enough, I guess that explains why there isn't a Great Britain Day. The best excuse we could hope for would be to celebrate when we stopped being quite so oppressive over a large portion of the world and started our slow drift into insignificance...
