I just found a really old CD of my games. The problem is that I can't open most of them because I require dmc.cox (NOT dmc2), pallete.cox and kcres.cox. I've found these extensions (link below), put them in the extensions and data/runtime folders etc etc etc, but MMF2 still complains that the extension is missing. Any ideas? Thanks.
Alas, that's one of my biggest beefs about MMF2. All of my current projects used MMF1.5-specific extensions.
The best we can hope for, I guess, is to contact MMF2 developers and ask them to convert 1.5 extensions so that they're compatible with 2.0. I know that I would love to see the DMC2 object and the DirectSound 2 object converted.
So you put your extensions in the folder. Multimedia fusion 2 -> Extensions -> mmf1?
This is what the readme in that folder says.
"Copy into this folder all the MMF1 extensions that are not converted for MMF2.
MMF2 will be able to load your MMF1 applications that use those extensions
so you can edit and replace the concerned events.
MMF2 won't be able to run your application until you have removed or
replaced all those events.
Note: if you need to load TGF1 or C&C applications that use extensions that
are not converted to MMF2, you have to copy into this folder the MMF1 version
of these extensions."
So by the looks of things the TGF version of the extensions are useless. You need the MMF1/1.5 versions.
Thanks a lot, Andy. I'll try that later. To be honest, I saw the MMF folder but didn't think it was used by MMF2 - I thought it had been created by an installer for an old extension or something.. that'll teach me to read the help files in future!
Sorry for the bump, but I just realised that I never got this working.
I have dmc2.cox, dmc2.gox and dmc2.mfx (renamed from .gox) in the Extensions folder and the mmf1 subfolder. Still doesn't work when I try to open it. Aaany ideas?

dmc.cox was one of the extentions I wish had been ported over. I believe the author didn't bother with it as ModFusion was released, and then the Onu object came out.
DMC will never be converted as its so outdated. I had this problem too, so I had to open up my files in MMF1.5, remove all events to the extention and the DMC object itself, then open it up in MMF2 and start the audio process from scratch.
Simply put, there is no possible way to open up DMC projects in MMF2
