Incase you've never heard of Snippet Manager 1: http://www.create-games.com/download.asp?id=7421

Basically, I'm completely remaking it from scratch, with a lot of big changes.
It should be much more intuitive than before, and much quicker to use - both when creating snippets, and when generating expressions from them. In true click tradition, the interface will be much more point and click, and it will require you to type a lot less.

I already have it pretty much planned out in my head, how it will work, but if anyone can think of a feature they'd like then I may still be able to fit it in somehow.

One possibility would be some kind of system to allow users to share their snippets on an online database - that was a commmon request when I released SM1. I don't really know how to go about that yet, so if anyone might be able to help, please let me know.

I want to be able to use named Alterable Values. Otherwise, great!

Thanks for your suggestion.
That option definitely will be available.

I will be including a "project editor" this time. You will be able to add objects to a project and rename their alterable values etc, to mirror those in your game. Then, when you come to generate an expression from a snippet, you can right-click on the object's icon, and select a variable from a popup menu - exactly like when you click "retrieve data from an object" in the MMF expression editor.

The idea is that it will save a lot of time and typing, make snippets simpler, and also be more intuitive.
If you'd rather just type it all in like before, you obviously still can
There are a couple of other reasons too, which should become clear when it's released, but which would take too long to explain here. Maybe I should have made a project page...

Snippet Manager 2!

I still use SM1 quite a lot, especially if I've forgotten a formula that I used weeks ago and suddenly need it again. An online database would be a good feature, I hope someone volunteers to help with that.
