Recently returned from the past, just wondering what’s new really in terms of games as well as techniques for clicking.
Any new uber extensions I should acquaint myself with? I was quite impressed with the idea with detectors inbuilt into an object using spare animations, something i recently picked up
I would like to also give a shout out to anyone that remembers me, as well as wishing everyone is OK
Got back into klik as me and my partner in nonsense have decided to make another game after around 3 years of inactivity. Our game is just starting in terms of development and is a remake of our very first game we made, “Bert’s Adventure in Semi 3D” (not too sure when me made the First Bert game but it was pre windows 95 and knp!)
The new game is currently under the Title “Bert and The Raiders of the Last Cheese Cob”
n.b. semi 3D is a in house joke
Project page soon to appear for anyone that is interested in what will be likely our last game.
Cheers Rikus - come back to make one last game or two . Me and my comrade in making games drifted apart (women, careers, degrees) but things have calmed down enough now to come back to making games... Hopefully in a couple of years i should be Dr . Then i will be qualified to wear a scarf and eat jelly babies...
@adam/Dr James lol i was hagar! Hayo, Ashman, Buster, Jenswa, Steve Harris and myself all came here after the closure of iklik-it.com.
I can remember having a forum chat with Dr James I am sure it was. If memory serves me right you had a (and hopefully still have) Triumph Spitfire... I now have numerous old cars, as well as a rather awful modern day Polo. Truely the worst car I own in terms of reliability.
Oh then I remember ya! Nah I was after a Spitfire back then, not so fussed now since I need a modern car. I think I still have that beer game you made or was that not you?
I dont think that was me , i seem to remember "Santas Most Festive Adenture" and "Malcom on the Roof" and a asteroids rip off. There was more too. Mostly demos as once i did a couple of levels I usually got bored .
Changed my name so i am more recognisable .
I actually trust my old cars more than my Polo . 'Best' one was clutch cradle breaking but at least VW admitted it was a well known fault and fixed it for free. Numerous other faults too like the ignition coil melting into weird foam stuff. Needless to say I shall never buy a VW again...
Next everyday motor is going to be a short wheel base land rover defender, Tax exempt (pre 72) but fitted with the modern land rover defender gear (engine, gearbox, seats, etc), this is quite common, and before Ford put the transit diesels in (i.e. Fit the 200 or 300 TDi you can get 28-30 MPG out of them).
Some guy down the road has an old Landrover Defender, uses it as his main car so they must be built well.
Yea my plan now is to either get a Peugeot 308 (had one as a courtesy car since our 807 was in the garage AGAIN) or get a Spitfire MkIV with completely new everything, and iPod compatible radio . And then match it with a vintage 1960's Gibson SG.
@hayo: we are the last few I think . Rycon was around here for a bit but then he dissapeared too.
@James and anyone interested: Got my degree, then a masters. Then I went to this 'orrible place called work. It sucks. I was working as a designer (electronics) but after a year and a bit I had enough. Now doing a doctorate, and growing my hair long again
@W3R3W00F : ta
Also finally found a woman that will put up with my nonsense!
