Im not actualy going to do this myself yet, im really busy right now, but i would love to see a Ecco the dolphin movement engine made on MMF!

This includes the jumping out of water.
Also when he moves foward, up, or diagonly remember he's collision box would have to change.

I will most probly try and do this eventualy, but just putting the idea out there for people who might wana make a different type of game/movement than the usual platform movement.

Is Ecco limited to 4 or 8 directions? I got it working in my engine in full 360° and when you jump out of the water it shifts the momentum into the platform engine (or vice versa if its platform to swim), so yea it's hella possible .

I made something like it in Flash for a Uni project, didn't involve jumping out of water though... That was actually based on a Flash tutorial for making those "move the floating ball to the end of the level" games.
