Hello all. I just got MMF2 yesterday, and I followed most of the "chocobreak" tutorial; everything worked as it should have.
However, I'm now trying to create a menu for my own game, and I want all of the elements to scroll, so I made them "active pictures" and set the move direction, speed, etc., just like I had while following the chocobreak tutorial; but they won't move! I can't understand it. I keep checking and rechecking the object properties, trying things in the event editor, but nothing is helping...
Anyone know what noobish mistake I could be making?

Did you give them an actual movement or did you just set the speed? (I don't think that's even possible, I'm pretty sure they get grayed out, but you never know. )
Would you be up for posting an mfa?

Sure. If I upload a .mfa, will all of the graphics and sounds and whatnot still be intact, or would I have to zip them up together with the file?

Depends on what objects you used. If it's just active objects then the graphics are internal.
Anyway, it doesn't matter if some external resources are missing - we'll still be able to see what's wrong with the code - so just upload the .mfa on it's own

Ok, cool; I figured that if they weren't internalized, the objects might not show up at all. Anyway, here it is:

The only thing I've messed with yet is the "trees" object, just so you know.

The problem is that you have the objects set to the 8 directions movement. That's a movement the player controls with the keyboard. Try the bouncing ball or path movements.

Ahhh, I see. I was wondering why "player" is there by default. Thanks for the help!
