Anyone got/playing this game? Im not usually into the normal FF games being a more of a Crystal Bearers kinda guy, but I must admit so far it's pretty darn cool, even if it is crazy hard sometimes I love how many cut scenes it has too, breaking up the action/fighting now and then.
Its gotten very mixed reviews. And TBH I dont think its really going to sell well... I think Final Fantasy has more or less had its day, what with everyones desire to play smaller, shorter games. I might get it though, but only when it inevitably comes down in price in a couple of weeks!

TBH Ive learnt not to listen to critics on game review sites and go with what my friends say about the games. Three of them said the game was very good so I decided pick a copy up. The reviews also said the character Vanille was irritating but I don't think she is.
I've tried to get into a couple final fantasy and final fantasy-like games in the past, but I always bore quickly of the turn-based battles. Which is strange, because I loved Paper Mario, and a bit of Pokemon will brighten anyone's day.

Reviewers are always full of crap. Always over-rating or under-rating.
FFXIII is probably worth playing for the environmental factor alone, that is the main reason I would pick it up and the main reason I have been super interested in it since trailers etc. were released. A lot don't like it since it is pretty close to 12 apparently.
Even though only I own a ps3 my sister was utterly determined to buy it. Ive not played because of this, but what I have ive loved. The battle system took a while to get used to but it's all good now.
It is pretty far away from FF12 though GamesterXIII. I'd say it's pretty similar to FF10.
I beat Odin yesterday and then I saved once I got back to Sazh and Vanille. I then proceeded to work on Survival Space 2010. So far it's really enjoyable. However, half the time I spent has to be on watching cutscenes. I actually couldn't get very far because I fell sick this week.

I don't really enjoy JRPGs in general, but I always seem to enjoy the Final Fantasy games. If only for the big airships. Hopefully there is some nice airships in this game
