Greetings. I have a quick question. I only have TGF and I have been meaning to upgrade for a while now, but I think what is finally going to get me to do is the fact you can export to Flash. However I was wondering something. Is it MMF that can do it, or do you need MMF2? Or can both do it? Also, can you make a 'protected game' in Flash, like you can in TGF? Thanks.

Only MMF2. MMF hasn't gained any new features since MMF2 was introduced. SWF export is already kind of protected in that you can't just open it up in MMF2, but there do exist such things as SWF decompilers. How far they can delve into an MMF2 application I do not know, since I have never used one!

In any case the 'protected game' feature is pretty much obsolete since tgf2/mmf2 compile to a single exe now.
No need to "lock" anything.

You can't buy MMF, only TGF2, MMF2, or MMF2 Developer. With that said, each version can use the Flash exporter just fine, which is a separate product (so you'll be buying two things). An SWF made in MMF2 is going to be about the same as an SWF made in any other product, so it'll be about as readily decompiled as any other SWF (I think). You don't make protected or unprotected games anymore; since MMF games are just one executable file as opposed to an executable and a source file. If you want your game unprotected, you'd simply submit the source.

Cool, thanks. I wasn't aware of any of that.
