I appreciate that a lot of change just takes time to get used to, however I'm not a fan of how the video comments are now. They seem cluttered and the rollover options look horrible and messy.
Just like Facebook, and I'm still getting used to its new, "simplified" design. It's like being whipped when websites change designs completely out of the blue.
And seriously; why would Youtube go with the like or dislike option? The stars were 10x better.
Maybe in the time you've been using it. It's been through two iterations. This recent one was just a re-organization of the site, the first was what gave the site a lot of visuals and complicated stuff. It was horrible at first because it was very glitchy and slow. The new Youtube seems to be the exact opposite, however I can't say I like it quite simply because it's too plain and the various shades of white just kind of make it blinding and too simplistic. I would've at least like to see some color options to tint some area's of the website like menus.
I liked that one youtube april's fools where all the videos would link to rick astley.

Yeah, that was a great one. I also liked when they flipped the site upside down. This time around doesn't seem to be anything fun or unique, at least not anything I see.
