I haven't given it a go yet, but I think it will be quite useful for interfacing with a Lacewing server written in Python. For example you could take arrays written by the server in python and natively send them to your MMF apps without any need for tricky re-interpreting.
This looks interesting. Lua is a great scripting language for newbies; it lets you get away with a lot of mistakes and still keeps running well. I don't know much Python myself, but I heard it's the best for really high-level stuff.

Actually, I don't know what Lua is better at It's good because it's very easy to learn and doesn't crash even when you write horrible code. Good if you want to make a game now, and not spend a few weeks/months learning the language.
