Would it be possible to have the link to the Arcade open in a New Tab/Window so that you don't actually leave the main site to play games?
Most browsers now have tabs built in so I would have thought it would be relatively easy to implement. I know I can choose to open in a new tab but I was wondering if it could be done automatically??
some people dont have a middle mouse button or a scroll wheel. they could just right click open in new tab, but its an inconvenience. since the arcade is NOT integrated with tdc it should NOT open in the same tab/window. target="_blank"
I know that, it's the same in Firefox but why should we ahve to? It's not part of TDC, its a subsite which takes you away from the main site. Could it be really that difficult to make it open in a new tab
If you don't have a scroll wheel (?!) then you probably have one hand on the keyboard to page up/down, in which case you can Ctrl + click to open a new tab (in Firefox)
Ugh, I'm not a fan of links that opens with a new tab. If you want a new tab do as suggested and; right click and open new tab or click the Scrollbutton.
I hate when a website needlessly opens up a new tab. It unexpectedly breaks my 'Back' tree for something as silly as accommodating people who find that throwing in an additional step of right clicking a link, is too much. I say leave it alone... seriously. Buy a mouse with a scroll wheel if right clicking is such a hassle for you. Honestly, I didn't even know you could still buy a mouse without a center button. They've become a pretty critical area of my computer experience.
I mean what next, do you want "All Programs" to shoot open as soon as you click the Start menu?
Ctrl +t also opens up a new tab in firefox. You can also right click the link, go down two options and click open link in new tab. I don't think it's necessary.
All platforming problems can be mostly solved here:
onT, I hate when links to outgoing sites DON'T open in new tabs, it's the way basically every other web page works, and is one of these things that, to me, makes TDC seem dated. Just my opinion though...
