Oh my God this game is a load of crap! I was expecting a nostalgic look into '90s first person shooters and i knew this didn't get very good reviews back in the day but...... jeez it's just really baaaaad!
Well, the film was based upon the game, so it kinda is a sequel of sorts. And so you can imagine the quality!! Screens won't do it justice, so here's a video:
Well, it's not those kind of ideas i dislike, the problem is they aren't implimented very well. The engine is pretty slow and has numerous and often saving/loading points, breaking up the gameplay and slowing the pace.. almost until it's no fun anymore. In fact the whole game just plays too slow paced for my liking.
The shooting and melee elements are a little dull and slow too. An example is swinging the police baton - for something so lightweight and versatile i should be able to bludgeon protestors with it, whereas the game only lets me swing once every 1-2 seconds.
