I just bought an ITG dedicab, for those that know what it is, and I'm looking for some puma tapers.
They were sold in 2005 and were discontinued so they are hard to find. I know its a long shot in the dark, but I'm looking for size 10. May deal with size 9.5 or 10.5. If by some chance you do have some (or know someone that does) you would like to sell, let me know! Name a price or tell me to make an offer .
This is a fairly random thread...
But while we're on the subject of discontinued running shoes, I would like some Saucony Triumph 4's (in black and gold - size 10.5)
Gamester:
Wow. Good find. Thanks for offering to help, but I think I'll manage (gonna have another look in the UK too) - let me know if you find any of those Puma shoes on a UK website though.
I like Reebok Classics or Adidas Samba Super's. Trouble I have is most shops do not stock size 12's which reminds me, if you do buy outside of your country take heed of the coversion!
Even if you buy from your own country, if you buy online you still need to be careful about sizes.
I've learned to only look at the Japanese size - never trust the UK sizes, as they vary too much between brands. Interestingly, if you work in ski sales/rental, this is the only system anyone uses (tip: Always buy boots in half-sizes; eg.28.5 instead of 29.0).
I bought a pair of "Mizuno Wave Inspire 4" in UK 10.5, but they turned out to be 29.5, which is really 11.5
Hagar: Can you fit into a large size 11.5?
If so, you can have those Mizunos for next to nothing (just the cost of delivery) if you want them - they're still boxed and immaculate.
How random is this? I just found out that 12 years after I posted in this thread, Saucony re-released those exact trainers I was looking for! And not only that, but there are places that still have them in stock today (another year and a haf later). Sadly, they're probably too narrow for me (turns out I'm not a 10.5 at all, but a 9.5 extra-extra-wide), and I only just bought a new pair of trail runners...
