okay i think this is a very common problem but I have no idea how to fix it and it is just VERY frustrating.

so i have a bunch of tabs opened in ONE fire fox window - then some lousy website (hotmail) has to open in a NEW fire fox window so i've got two fire fox windows running: my normal window with all my tabs and hotmail with just ONE tab.

i close my fire fox window with all the tabs on accident and so im left with the hotmail only window. i close fire fox and of course the next time when i start it up the only tab i get is hotmail.
what do i have to do to get my tabs back?

sure i know i can look up in the history of today but there are just A LOT OF SITES - well every site I visited today while I am just looking for the few things I still had opened. Any idea how I can get those back, please?

Thanks a million

I am on Windows XP SP 3 using FF 3.6.10. I also have Tab Mix Plus installed.

Unfortunately not! Firefox will only remember the sites you had open on the last closed window. Even reopening Firefox whilst your hotmail window is open won't change a thing.

Crash it. Go into Task Manager and kill FireFox. The next time you open it, it'll ask you if you want to reload all your tabs. Very useful for those pesky updates.

Your history should allow to restore all recently closed windows. Not just tabs.

Must be because you have a Germa...oh wait. I had the same problem, really annoying. Now I am a square and moved to chrome.

You wouldn't have this problem if you were using Opera...

I just downloaded Opera to see if it got any better since the last time I used it. It has, but it's still slow as hell. Chrome is faster and plugins to add what Opera has built in, wont slow it down. I'd consider it a win/win situation.

I've never had a problem with new windows of Firefox opening. I have the "Open new windows in new tabs instead" option enabled. I also click pretty much every link with mb3, so they all open in tabs anyways.
