So this is a list of 360 games I highly recommend. There are a bunch of big and popular titles that aren't bad (GTA 4, Modern Warefare) but as much as critics loved those games - they didn't do much for me. There are just so many other games I really enjoyed:
Deadly Premonition
I know the graphics are bad and I guess on the technical side this game is pretty awful overall. Yet this is the fascinating part about Deadly Premonition. While it does so much wrong I can't think of any game I've enjoyed playing more. It's just so entertaining. Seriously give this game a try. Play it. Beat the first part and get at least into Greenvale and see what this game is all about. I fell in love with the characters, story and music.
Sure the graphics aren't good but then we all know how well the WII sold and it taught us that graphics aren't everything.
This game is a MUST PLAY!
Enslaved: Odyssey to the West
Great characters, great take on the original story, fun gameplay. Hell Monkey is played by Andy Serkis Mr Gollum himself. I also think that Trip is the most attractive video game character in a game - in fact the first video game character I actually find to be attractive.
Condemned: Criminal Origins
I'd say this is the scariest game I've ever played and highly underrated. Seriously this game is SCARY and got a great atmosphere, innovative ideas and it feels just so good. Seriously I wish they would stop making F.E.A.R. which I found to be boring and not entertaining at all and made a third Condemned. Also people tell me Amnesia: The Dark Descent is scary which bored the hell out of me as well. Those people should play Condemned and see what's scary.
Condemned 2: Bloodshot
Is the first Condemned I've played and pretty enjoyable. Having played Condemned: Criminal Origins I've gotta admit the first is better. There are a lot of improvements in the second one still I prefer 1. What's a bit cruel about 1: The game ends without answering every question. So having started with the second part made it way easier to understand the story without being confused.
Dead Space 1+2
They are both pretty great games and both pretty scary. One thing both games also have in common: At one point I got sick of it and stopped playing it for a long time. Then I got back at it and was just in love and couldn't get enough until I beat them.
For some reason I love Split/Second Velocity. Got it for Xmas last year and decided to play it for the first time the other week. I feel guilty that I missed out on a years worth of entertainment!
Quantum of Solace is another one that got average reviews, but picked it up cheap and thought it was quite fun.
And played the Duke Nukem Forever demo and enjoyed it, although clearly it was clunky and felt derelict compared to what 14 years of development should have done to it. Nonetheless I picked that up cheaply too.
Ninja Gaiden 2
RE 5
Mushihime Sama Futari 1.5
EspGaluda
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ++ pretty much any cave shooter.
Afterburner Climax (arcade)
Tales of Vesperia
There really aren't that many games worth playing =/.
Well I consider deadly premonition to be exclusive because the ps3 version only exists in japan in Japanese. I highly recommended Deadly Premonition. LOVE IT.
Also Gears 1.
Quantum of Solace is super old but I found it to be pretty entertaining.
Split second ... got that, didnt even beat the first level and didn't like it. I enjoyed Blur a lot but in the end it just got TOO HARD.
Yesterday I saw copies of Duke at a store for only 15 Euros. Now that's cheap. Also I think Duke is best played on PC. If anyone got it for PC and wants to play online let me know.
Also Limbo used to be exclusive. I suggest it. Just like Braid used to be exclusive for very long.
