Play GTAIV's trailer with GTAV's sound. No one would be able to tell the difference.
Don't get me wrong, I loved GTAIV and I want GTAV to be even better, but this trailer doesn't show me that this game is much different or better than GTAIV, except some improved lighting and new scenery.
I'd say I've to agree and I don't even like gta 4.
I think editing wise the trailers are pretty impressive and I would be able to tell the difference since the music just works so well for each trailer. Wonderful editing.
Anyways I see where you come from. London in the 60s would have been a big step and quite a change. While this is probably the same shit just with nicer graphics.
Those big electronic wind mills and those people in the vine field with the plane were the most impressive looking parts to me.
I still have no clue who you are going to play.
I hope they will improve the inside of buildings because so far this is what gta is lacking in. Sure you had a disco in ballad of gay tony but really gta is more of an outside game.
Those armed guys in orange coming out of the van made me hope you can have some action going on inside buildings.
Plus the area seems to give you city, beach and mountains where liberty city was mostly city and a tiny beach.
GTA 4 was at the time quite technically impressive - but I found the story and the charecters really dull to be honest. I had a lot more fun just driving around in a Dodge Monaco causing havoc blues brothers style.
I was hoping for another Vice City or London in the 60s...

yeh I kinda agree. Im sick of all those American cities. Basically it's all kinda the same now isnt it?
I was really hoping for London in the 60s but I've been told GTA is a parody of American lifestyle...
Also I'm not sure how much London really got to offer. This seems to have a beach and mountains while London would be just another big city with different architecture I guess.
Theres already a game based on London and its general culture... especially since August, it's called State of Emergency - but not by Rockstar.
I think the main character is Claude, from GTA3. He looks similar, and aged. Everyone thinks its Tommy Vercetti, but why would Tommy move from Vice City to Los Santos, "because of the weather"?
I think cities in different countries (Japan, Australia, Europe) hold so much potential in terms of layout, atmosphere, story and architecture. I just can't understand why they continue with the same old thing instead of really surprising people/making something different. Instead it will be GTA VI: Houston, Texas or something gay like that.

ive got the same problem with saints row. they want to be an alternative while its just really the same. a gta knock off with certain things changed yet completly american and the cities are kinda equal.
thats why i would like to try the yakuza series but i dont have a ps3 and i dont fancy one. also you spend a lot of time underground in the new yakuza.
