You guys know how blocks got destroyed in good ol' bomberman 2? They were sort of erased pixel by pixel, not disappearing right away but rather getting destroyed in that pixely fashion.

I want to do the same, but I figure it will take a while to do an animation with every type of block, so perhaps you guys would know how to use some sort of effect to remove parts of the object until the object should finally be destroyed by the event handler?

On another note, I have tried to find hq2x effects but the single one i found does not work. The object just disappears when I apply the effect. Anyone know a good resource for all those nifty effects?

Have you looked at the standard transitions? You can add a Fade Out transition called "Mosaic" that has the same effect.

Hey that's a good suggestion right there. I've never looked into those transitions since TGF (too buggy for my taste).
