I know they say they "1GHz processor" or whatever, but I'm just wondering how fast they are in the real world - surely a 1GHz phone is going to be a lot slower than a 1GHz PC for example?
Would it be safe to assume that a klik game which runs okay on my 300MHz ThinkPad 600E is going to be okay on an Android phone (when the exporter is released)?

It depends on what phone you'd be interested in, to be honest.

Phones work differently than their computer counterparts. For one, they're defiantly designed graphically, a lot more powerful than computers were when they were only 1GHz. However at the same time, that's not to say that the processors on the phone are going to be parallel or even better than the computer counterpart.

Hmmm. I guess it's a "wait and see" then...
I've come to the conclusion that 300MHz & 64MB RAM isn't really enough to run XP successfully.

That's another thing, the operating systems that desktops and laptops run on are significantly heavier than the operating systems mobile devices run on, like Android and iOS. So in those respects, a phone will likely out perform a PC with identical specs especially if power optimization isn't (which it should be) taken into account when designing.
