Hi...i am about to make a good website....but i dont know what server or watever to use...not geocities cos it has those bloody annoying popups...now angelfire either....what do u think is the best?

Ummm...the best way to go without popups is a host that you pay for...
I use geocities cause its the only free one I can find that will allow a 5mb file!

will you please put a more descriptive name for a forum post?
anyway, try www.graffiti.net . It allows remote-linking.
and as for the geocities part, go search for it at a search engine or something, i remember there's some way to remove the annoying pop-up.

most websites (free ones) have pop ups, u cant stop it. but u can use geocities for website and Fortunecity (www.fortunecity.com) to store pictures (screenshots)

First of all, use more descriptive titles for your forums topics.
Secondly, give people a chance to reply. We cant be on 24/7, and not everyone may want to reply anyway. What your doing is called "Bumping Posts" and it means that it moves your post back to the top even though no one has really "replied", you just want to keep it visible so that people look at it. If I see you do this again I'm just going to remove the topic.
Finally, in response to your question, use the space that came with your ISP. Most ISP's give at least 10mb of free, advertising-free space for use. This is obviously the best option since you're already signed up to it and it doesnt have ads. Obviously if you didnt get space (or if you werent provided with enough) you'll have to look elsewhere. It's pretty difficult to find free space that doesnt have any sort of catch. Running a server costs money, you realise.

www.freewebs.com is rather good. It has no advertising and i think it allows remote linking. The only downfall as the maximum files you can have is 50, but they can be of any size.

I got all my webspace from my ISP Blueyonder, i got 30 megs and no popups 
Also to stop popups you could .tk it ( www.dot.tk ) and then turn off their popups as well.
