Did anyone here play the Mario & Luigi series for GBA and DS?
The three games I am talking about are:
-Superstar Saga (GBA)
-Partner's in Time (DS)
-Bowser's Inside Story (DS)

I really enjoyed these games. They had a very appealing and well-animated sprite art and hilarious dialogue. The battles were also very interactive despite being turn-based and it was all very well-implemented and easy to understand (unlike some confusingly in-depth RPGs).

I just thought of bringing this up to see what other's thought of the series, as I have fond memories of it . I hope to make my next project like these games. It would be a nice change from retro platformers for me and it would be heaps of fun to have a go at implementing a script and dialogue into one of my games (although I did write alot of the dialogue for the EverEternal WinterWorld series).

I loved the first one. Just got the second one, and so far I don't like it quite as much, but it's still pretty clever and it cracks me up.

They had great music, too.

I've thought before it would be fun to make a game like this. You should!

Yes! The music was so good I often used Music from Superstar Saga as place holders in my games .

I kind of get what you mean with Partner's in Time. On first playthrough of it I felt I liked Superstar Saga more. Don't get me wrong, I still thoroughly enjoyed the game. However the more I replayed PIT the more I enjoyed it.

The third one, Bowser's Inside Story, was the best of the three I feel though

I know many people who prefer SS to PIT and many who prefer PIT to SS so I guess it comes down to personal opinion Like most things.

I kinda liked the first one. I just didn't like the beans, didn't seem very "Mario" to me. :I
