I'm looking for a program (preferably free, i will pay $50 maximum) that allows you to create 8 bit music. That's really it, anybody know of any such programs? Thanks!
I forgive you, Wheatly.

I like modplug:
http://www.modplug.com/
It's a tracker. Check out http://modarchive.org as well. You can download a bunch of 8-bit music files to use as examples.
http://www.chiptune.com/ is pretty cool too.

I use modplug tracker too. Although it's somewhat basic and you have to find samples yourself.
