An indie game dev group called Gears for Breakfast are making a Banjo-Kazooie/ Mario 64/ Donkey Kong 64 style Collect-a-thon game. And it looks really awesome! I used to love these style games but you don't see them much anymore (though I am in the pre-production phase of developing one myself. Heheh...).
