Any really, I would like to draw some 3d objects, rotate, etc. Doesn't seem too hard, but I can't get to it.

Work with textures would be nice too.

The issue is performance. You can do that kind of thing with the surface object, but not in realtime. Maybe look into pixel shaders instead...
