I'm pretty sure the lot of us have thought of a game idea or two that would've been cool for you to make a while ago, but since you're more skilled, you let it go to dust. Or you thought of a fangame, but you'd rather be original. Post your ideas here, and let someone else take them.

Mine are:

Unnamed Action RPG- The only unique thing about this is that you level up after boss fights, and every two levels you gain, you gain a new move. It seems simple, but there are hidden bosses that will make you stronger than if you go the standard route.

An action-based Castlevania, without RPG elements- Three playable characters: Julia Renard, Kyle Morris, and Seth Danasty (all descendants of previous Castlevania heroes). Dracula has risen again, and it's up to the three heroes to stop him. Julia wields a sword that was given to her by Alucard (since he knew Maria), who tried to fight Dracula as soon as he awoke, but failed. Kyle, who still has Vampire Killer blood in him, found the legendary Vampire Killer whip buried with John's body, and it is still in perfect condition. Seth, who is actually unaware of the fact that Grant fought Dracula, takes up a firearm and sets out to stop Dracula. His urge to stop Dracula has been passed down to him.
The system of upgrading your weapon from the original Castlevania is different for Seth. He can find a sharp bullet and a silver bullet, and they can work together. each character has a special skill as well. Julia can strafe, Kyle can backflip, and Seth can fire his subweapon backwards. As for subweapons, instead of collecting them, you start with certain ones for each character. Julia has the cross and axe, Kyle has the boomerang, dagger, and holy water, and Seth has a magnum that uses twenty hearts and a shotgun that uses ten (if you find a marksman's glove, it will take half as many hearts to use each). You can find what passes for relics, too. There is a marksmans glove for Seth, a magic blade (you can destroy projectiles by slashing them), and a holy flame for Kyle (gives you a flame whip). You lose them when you die, and if you die on the level where you found the item, the candelabra holding it will disappear.

Anyone else willing to contribute?

It's better to make stuff yourself i think.

(Andy's Matrix Game Story)

I wanted to make a matrix game, when i was a noob. I was all enthousiastic and crap, i made a fully functional engine. The graphics weren't all that great, but hell i was having fun. I eventually got bored so i decided to wait till i had a crapload more experiance in MMF. Now i'm restartin the project with a couple of other clickers doing the graphics (Now i can't fail at that) and i'll be doing the coding.

Since I am somewhat retiring, I am going to submit a big pack of my abandonware games. I would rather see them being put into use then just never be made at all. But really, I would like to see an open ending Seinfeld game...like Grand Theft Auto, but without the violence and more humor, of course there would be some violence, it is Seinfeld were talking about.

Okay I'm just going to steal this from my site :

When I first started making games I made a game about a guy looking for his brother. It was an adventure sort of game where you walked around differnt screens and interacted with things. Only about 3 screens were ever finished and that game is now lost.

Later on I made a game called Jiminy and later Jiminy 2. They were platform games where you went around shooting things, Jiminny 2 was never finished. I then started making Jiminny 3D, which wasn't really 3D and was barely done. It looked pretty cool though, a title screen and an intro were all that were completed.

Somtime later I made a platform game called Rampaging Squirrels where you played as Bucky the squirrel or his sister Fluffy. The player went around shooting lizards and birds (a lot of gameplay was copied from Jazz Jackrabbit 2). It was really no better then Jiminny 2. I never finished it.

At the same time I made a game called Ball Catch in which the player was at a baseball game and had to catch all the foul balls. It was finished but it was pretty dumb.

Agent 75 was another game I started, all I ever made for it was a title screen, menus and a tiny playable bit.

Drew the Kangaroo was started after I got Earthworm Jim and decided to make a game in its image. Surprise, surprise it was never finished either.

Army Frog, now that was a game I had done quite a bit on, I made a training course, a menu, a title screen and a playable level. It was a platform game that was like an FPS. The player was a frog man who had to kill toads. Of course I never finished it.

Much later I started a game called Muncher, it was kinda cool. This was a platform game where the player had to shoot green balls at yellow people who would spit.

Fight The Glory was an RTS game I started which was soon abandoned owing how dificult it was to make.

Finally I made and finished a game called Billy's Adventure, it is a platform game that can be downloaded in the games section. Thats about all the old games I have made that are worth mentioning. These days I make games of much better quailty and l sometimes actually get them finished (we live in hope).

Besides, if every idea you came up with you got someone else to make. Where would you be? You'd be back where you started, with no ideas. You can't get better unless you do the effort.

Practice makes perfect

but i guess some would beg to differ by saying

If practice makes perfect, and nobodies perfect. Then why practice?

Then i'd say - "For fun"

Actually, I've thought of around 120 game ideas that I'd like to make. These two ideas are ones I'd rather not work on, but would like to play. And the strafing for Julia is left or right only. I've been wondering what you've been up to, Scobi.

I've got three versions of Zack Bond 2 including my newest one. My original version has a RIDICULOUS amount of features- 15 weapons, different ammo counters for each, several different costumes for the character, invisibility cheats, complicated AI, a LOT of INI events, and more! It's a NIGHTMARE to work on. The 2nd version was a bit simpler, but I suffered from the same bugs and dilemmas from the first one.

My newest one has TOTALLY efficient events. We're talking groups and comments for EVERYTHING. We're talking stuff that took me 12 events before is now taking me 4. And I've learned now that trying to include way too many featurs (costumes, 15 extra guns) just isn't worth it in the long run.

Better guns messes with balance. I put a x2 damage pistol in a level, suddenly the level is half as hard. Now I need several more enemies to even it out. It's all pointless. =/ Sure multiple guns can provide some strategy and it's fun to play with- but it's not worth the programming and balancing headaches.

My latest Zack Bond game has bullet time and a jetpack. If I had machine guns in it, I would have to literally put 20 enemies in a room to present any sort of challenge. I don't want the game to degrade to that.

Simple klik games = Finished klik games = Better klik games!!!!

Of course. And I remember "Scobi" from the preview of Mr. Malibus 2 on Total Klik v.2. And what happened to people giving away game ideas on this topic?
