Yeah its mr gradient lover again.

This is a message to all the whiners that have showed up lately and write crap reviews and say "TDC sucks" and "this is full of newbies" and stuff.

Most people on The Daily Click are people with lives, we dont live for klikking.
We just create games for fun, and when we have finished a game, we show it to other people who are klikking for fun. So there is no need for us to "grow up" or whatever you call it. We dont want our games to be perfect, to make gfx exactly like ED, do perfect custom engines, or render professional cutscenes. You will never be able to make a living out of klik games, and we dont want to. If you want to know, I am a history teacher, my hobbies are caveclimbing and guitarplaying, and I just make games sometimes for the fun of it.
So if you want to do professional games, that ok, but dont bother us with it.

Call me sensitive, I dont care.

Hurrah! But it's perfectly possible to make a living out of click games... as long as you're good at it, that is You can certainly make money from it, though.

Hayos right, look at klik products. Are they are professional tool with pixel shaders?, Bump mapping perhaps? Can any of them use all of the dirext x 9 interfaces?

No mmf, jamajic etc can not. They are not intended to create professional games, just help amateurs enjoy a hobby of game creation.

You want to become a pro learn c/c++ and get a 3d developer kit or direct x sdk.

When it comes to the cruch no klik game is professional, just a very good game produced by amateurs for fun as a hobby.

Thats enough philosphy for today *yawn*.

Quite true, Hayo!

This is important for the DC members to read, not those idiots who try and mock the DC. Why? Because those retards aren't going to pay any attention anyway, they like it when people react like this. The DC-ers, however, do need to be reminded that there are some elites out there who think they're click gods. However, they have no lives outside clicking.

Let me sum up this whole thread in a simple two-word sentence:

"Pity them"

I think that was just about the main point of Hayo's post.

being or wanting to be a professional game maker doesnt automatically make you a prick with no life, just the same as being a DCer doesnt automatically make you a noob.

ill try and not go off topic but there are perfectly nice natomic people, like necro pixel.

also, im sure there a few DCers out there with just as little lives as other communities. positive steriotyping is sometimes just as offencive.

in closing, how good you are at kliking does not define your personality, neither does which site you choose to accociate with.

Dave2, you are realy getting annoying now, you dont know me, so shut up.
winning a compo doesn't give you the right to talk like this.

my games are decent, and I NEVER bragged about it.
