I've heard a few MODs now, and they seem a lot better than MIDIs. I have been making midis (with notation programs) for abour a year, and I want to branch out into making MODs. But I don't have a clue what to do. I don't even think I have a MOD player (although I have Winamp on disc).
Is there any free MOD tracking programs out there (preferably using notation)?
First of all - Yes! mods _are_ better than midi. One of the reasons being you can only use the sounds included in the midi wavetable, where in tracking you can make a song using 1 rubberband sound if you want to
6th - Trackers can seem very hard to use, but just keep at it and you'll succeed. I taught myself tracking because i wanted to, so there's no reason why you couldn't also
It's a matter of taste, obviously, but i personally don't like the windows based trackers. It's not possible to do anything quickly in them, and they're just poorly made. So if you anyone gets Impulse Tracker, be sure to read my article on how to get it to work in Windows on my website www.eviscerator.tk
