I mean, we've heard of reality shows: Real life people doing real things from a scenario given to them. So, I thought, why not make a game where the characters are all real people?

I was thinking of making a strategic top-view game of some kind, where the characters can all take sides in some war. Perhaps a police vs terrorists thing, or a gang war thing or something. You guys tell me what's best.

So, would anyone be interested in joining in such a project? I'll probably release the thing open source, so you guys can modify it at will...

Okay, So how do we go about shrinking the real people and sucking them into the computer screen? Do we use some sort of laser?
Cause if we do, count me in!

I bet this is exactly how the Matrix started...

Show me the power child,
I'd like to say,
That I'm down on my knees today,
Gives me the butterflies,
Gives me away,
'Til I'm up on my feet again,
I'm feeling outshined.

I'm not exactly sure what we're talking about here. Do you mean a really nonlinear game, where the flow is entirely influenced by your choices? Like, you kill some guy at the beginning, and that stops an entire fight later on, or you pick up some ammunition somewhere and people die because you took their ammo.

Truth is, I had no idea what I was talking about. Just a little thing that crossed through my mind that I was stupid enough to mention in public.

Shrinking real people would be cool... but it would probably be too expensive for a freeware game. I was just thinking that we make little graphical versions of ourselves at the scale of about 2 cm per pixel.

I tried to make a really nonlinear game a few months ago. 'Twas hellish. Nah, I was thinking more of one of those mission-based games where everyone gets mysteriously resurrected at the end of every level. Or yeah, maybe a pretty non-linear game like Counter-Strike where you get to shoot people you don't like.

DC members, though the celebrity thing and maybe even people related to DC members wouldn't be such a bad idea.

Well, the sims has your custom characters in it, but sometimes celebrities walk around in there too. So what i'm saying is, I'd love to shake hands with Elvis
