What's your favoritest game ever from back in the day (the like SNES and NES and Genesis etc days) i'd have to say my favorite old game is Chrono Trigger from the Snes.
I'd have to say my personal favourite game of all time would have to be Duke Nukem 3D. I used to play that so often, I tended to make heaps of levels and stuff for it too. It RAWKED!

Favorite from the 16-bit days... geesh, there were so many good games then. I really can't pick just one, so I'm going to say Super Metroid, Chrono Trigger, Gunstar Heroes, and Mario 3.

Probably... hmm... tough question, but I'd have too say Sonic the Hedgehog 2. It had inventive level design, a whole bunch of new concepts, cool boss ideas, and it starred a giant hedgehog. Who can argue with that?
